The vector quantity force can be defined as a pushing or pulling on an object. The center of mass is the point where, if the object were changed such that all of the mass of the object were concentrated at that point, the motion of the object would be unchanged. When considering the force due to gravity, this point is called the center of gravity. The pull of gravity on a mass is the force known as weight.
